of Aries that stands for your ability to rush forward into
whatever challenges you. The Rising Sun and the Basket of Eggs
represent new beginnings and your fertility of mind and body.
TAURUS:
Taurus is the sign of beauty, loyalty and generosity. Your flower is the
Poppy. On her head, the Taurus goddess wears the Horns of the Bull (the
representation of Taurus) -- and in the center of the horns is the symbol of
Venus, your ruling planet of love. The grapes represent your sweetness.
The Doves signify peace and gentleness and your enduring faithfulness.
GEMINI:
Gemini is the sign of vivacity and communication. Your flower is the Lily
of the Valley. Above the twin Gemini goddesses are the Wings of Mercury
(the planet of intelligence that rules your sign). At the bottom, the Open
Book represents learning and wisdom; the Inkstand is an emblem for your gift
of language. In the center is a Butterfly suggesting motion and flight –
the butterfly has always symbolized the “dance of joy.”
CANCER:
Cancer is the sign of creation and nurturing. Your flower is the Lily
(meaning purity), and the ruler of Cancer is the Moon that represents
emotion. In astrology, yours is a Water sign (meaning you are a person of
deep feeling), and surrounding the Cancer goddess are water creatures, such
as the Crab (symbol of Cancer) and the Turtle that denotes protectiveness.
The Treasure Chest stands for your treasures of love and intelligence that
flow outward to others.
LEO: Leo is the sign of love, radiant life
force, and nobility. The Leo goddess wears a Crown that represents your
queenly essence. Beneath her is the Lion, regal symbol of your sign. To
its left is the radiant Sun, ruler of Leo. The Sun stands for vitality,
power, and life-giving energy. Beneath the sun is a Heart, denoting your
generosity and power to love. The Palm frond on the right and Sunflower at
bottom are the tree and flower linked to Leo.
VIRGO: Virgo is the sign of healing, loving
commitment, and excellence. Your flower is the Morning Glory, and in the
Virgo goddess’s hair is Ivy that represents constancy. She cradles a Rabbit
that signifies fertility of mind and body, and the Hummingbird denotes your
freedom of spirit. The Sheaf of Wheat represents the harvest season in
which you born. The Cornucopia overflowing with fruits & vegetables stands
for your own abundant gifts that you bestow on others.
LIBRA: Libra is the sign of romance, loving
partnership and elegance. Your flowers are the Violet and Daisy, and the
Rose in the Libra goddess’s hair represents love. Yours is the sign of
fairness and balance, and thus the Scale is symbol of Libra. Climbing the
scale is a Lizard, magical emblem for having clear vision. At lower left is
a Dragonfly, which stands for your radiance. The Swan signifies loyalty
because it mates for life. The meaning of the Swan has always been
“awakening to the power of your true self.”
SCORPIO: Scorpio is the sign of passion,
protective love, and regeneration. At bottom left is your special flower,
the Thistle. Above the goddess are seashells because Scorpio is a Water
sign. In astrology, water stands for emotion and imagination. The
Magnifying Glass denotes your ability to see deeply. It is poised over a
Scarab Beetle, which in ancient Egypt was a sacred emblem for renewal and
transformation. At bottom is the Scorpion, symbol of your sign. In
mythology, the scorpion was a fierce warrior who would sting itself to death
rather than be captured.
SAGITTARIUS: Sagittarius is the sign of wisdom,
high purpose, and adventure. In her hair, the Sagittarius goddess wears the
Holly of the season in which you born. The Shooting Star is the emblem of
Hope and Faith, your own guiding stars. The Winged Unicorn is a magical
creature that can fly -- in this design, the unicorn substitutes for the
traditional Centaur symbol of Sagittarius. The Bow and Arrow also symbolize
your sign and your ability to soar with optimism and new ideas.
CAPRICORN: Capricorn is the sign of patience,
enduring devotion and achievement. Above the Capricorn goddess is the
planet Saturn, ruler of your sign. Saturn brings discipline and patience.
At the right is a Clock because Saturn is also known as Father Time; with
diligence you get what you strive for. The clock’s Chain represents
devotion to duty. Beneath the goddess is the Sea-Goat, ancient symbol of
Capricorn, a mythical creature with the agility to climb the heights and
ability to thrive in the waters of emotion.
AQUARIUS: Aquarius is the sign of hope,
friendship, and expansive ideas. Your special flower is the Waterlily. To
the right of the Aquarius goddess is a representation of electricity, symbol
of Uranus (your ruling planet of energy and the unexpected). The Hot-Air
Balloon epitomizes your search for personal expansion. The Jug of Flowing
Water is the symbol of Aquarius; it represents truth that you dispense to
the world. At bottom right is a blooming Pear Tree that stands for your
knowledge and wisdom, and in the tree is a Partridge, signifying devotion.
PISCES: Pisces is the sign of insight,
creativity, and spiritual strength. Above and to the left of the Pisces
goddess are the Waterlily and Cattail linked to your sign. The Sea at
bottom denotes that Pisces is a Water sign; in astrology, water symbolizes
emotion and imagination. The Sailing Ship signifies love and the voyage of
life, which you plunge into heart and soul. The Seahorse in ancient
mythology drove the chariot of Neptune (the planet that rules Pisces). At
bottom is the symbol of your sign, two Fishes swimming in opposite
directions, tied to a Band. The Fishes represent a continual pull between
falling into escapism -- and aspiring toward the affirmative.
